E-scooter trial

Report an issue and log a complaint

Zipp Mobility has worked closely with the council to regulate the speed and designated areas for e-scooter usage throughout the borough, as well as to establish designated parking zones.

The Customer Service team operates from Monday-Friday 8am-10pm. The Zipp email (info@zippmobility.com) is also monitored regularly. There is a helpline number available to users on the app.

All e-scooters are GPS-connected so Zipp can track any misuse, and warn and educate riders. The e-scooters are equipped with registration plates, simplifying the process of reporting any issues.

Are there any penalties for riders who get reported?

Zipp take reports of misconduct seriously and may impose penalties or suspend accounts for riders found in violation of their terms of service.

They will work closely with Slough Borough Council and the Police to understand specific issues within the area and how to mitigate against misuse.

It is also important to note that when renting an e-scooter from Zipp, a rider is bound by the same rules as if driving a car. This means it is against the law to:

  1. Use the service under the influence of any drugs or alcohol
  2. Ride on footpaths or pavements
  3. Have more than one person on a e-scooter at a time
  4. Rent a e-scooter on behalf of someone else.

Infringements such as this can add points to your driving licence and lead to disqualification or prison time.

Issues and complaints (providing as much information as possible such as location, date and time) can be reported directly to Zipp’s dedicated support team at info@zippmobility.com or through the app so that the team can investigate and act promptly as appropriate.

Speedier action will be possible if reports are made direct to Zipp, however, users can also use our report a highways/transport issue form, selecting E-scooter from the drop down list.
