What is Technology Enabled Care
Technology Enabled Care enhances independent living by ensuring support is readily available at any time, day, or night. This approach includes:
- telecare
- assistive technology
- telemedicine, and
- telehealth.
This offers a comprehensive support system. It also gives reassurance to family members who often live at a distance and cannot always provide immediate help.
Services are on-call, with responders, ready to visit homes to offer assistance and support, such as, lifting service users after a fall. And, if needed, they will contact family members, friends or carers or the emergency services.
Technology Enabled Care includes:
- 24 hours a day personal alarm monitoring and support
- services from our providers, which are accredited by the Telecare Services Association (TSA)
- personalised solutions tailored to individual needs,
- additional wireless devices to ensure a safe and secure environment, giving continued independence for users, such as:
- smoke or gas detectors
- flood sensors
- bogus caller buttons
- fall detectors.
We also have digital care devices which we can discuss according to your needs, such as epilepsy sensors, GPS devices and automatic medication dispensers.
