Leasehold charge estimates 2021/2022
Receiving your invoice
The estimated statements are issued by the Leasehold department prior to the invoices being issued. These give a breakdown of the services estimated for your block for the coming year.
Invoices are issued by the Revenues department and you should receive them separately after receiving your statement. As soon as you receive the invoice, you can then make the payment, quoting the invoice number.
If you would like to receive your invoice by email instead of post, please email revenues@slough.gov.uk with your email address as soon as possible.
Renting out your property
If you are renting out your property and have not received any estimates or invoices, please email homeownership@slough.gov.uk urgently. They will issue you with a subletting form and make amendments to your account and update your records. Please note, there is a fee of £75 to carry out a sublet request.
You must ensure we have your contact details, in case we need to contact you with an emergency that may affect your property.
Further statements and Leasehold Charge bills in 2021
In September 2021 we will issue issuing the actual accounts for the year 2020/21. This is for the actual services carried out from the 1 April 2020 to the 31 March 2021. This will have the costs for all of the services carried out to your block.
Any difference from the estimated costs will be due for payment on 1 October 2021. The second half-yearly estimate for the year 2021/22 will also be added to the adjustment and due for payment.
If you are paying in 10 monthly instalments, this will leave you with 4 payments due, which may be different to the amounts you were paying previously. At that point, you will need to contact your bank to amend the amount of the 4 remaining payments.
Paying by instalments
We do offer monthly instalment plans. These allow payments to be made over 10 months by standing order or by paying monthly through the automated payment line. Monthly payments will start from 1 April 2021.
Please email revenues@slough.gov.uk to request this by 5 March 2021. You must include your customer number.
Please note, you must request by 5 March so we receive your request before invoices are issued. Monthly payment plans cannot be set up once you have received your invoice.
Arrears on your account
Monthly payment plans are available to leaseholders who do not have arrears on their accounts. If there are arrears on your leasehold charge account, please email homeownership@slough.gov.uk so we can assist you further. Please remember to quote your customer number on all correspondence.
Already paying by instalments
If you were already paying in 10 monthly instalments, your final payment would have been on the 1st January 2021. This will not automatically continue.
You need to email revenues@slough.gov.uk to request a monthly instalment plan for this year by 5 March 2021. You must include your customer number. Monthly payments will start from 1 April 2021.
If you do not contact us to agree a monthly plan for 2021/2022, your invoice amount will be due in full on 1 April 2021.
Instalments by standing order
If you paid for 2020/2021 by monthly standing order, you will need to contact your bank directly to adjust the payments as per your invoice. You still need to contact us to confirm monthly instalments, as above.
If you are setting up a monthly instalment plan for the first time and you want to pay by standing order, you will need to set up a standing order and contact your bank directly to arrange this.
Please quote your customer number.
Paying instalments by card or cash
Slough Borough Council no longer accepts cash payments.
Payment details for card payments will be detailed on the back of your invoice. Please do not attempt to pay before you receive your invoice, as you will need the invoice number to make payments.
Paying twice yearly
If you wish to pay twice yearly the first payment is due on the 1 April 2021 and the second payment will be due on the 1 October 2021.
The payment due on the 1 October 2021 will be for the end of year actual accounts for the year 2020-2021 plus your second half yearly estimate amount for the year 2021-2022.
Ground Rent
Please note, you cannot add your ground rent payment to your instalments. Ground rent is due on 1 April 2021 and we cannot accept instalment payments.
