About the centre
The Britwell Centre is a community centre incorporating the library, MyCouncil, learning opportunities, community activities, volunteering opportunities and a community garden. This building gives the local community access to services without travelling into Slough. There are computers for the public to use as well as free Wi-Fi access.
As well as a large main hall there are several other meeting rooms, a fully functional kitchen and training kitchen available for hire.
The atrium area has a communal space for the local community. If you would like to run a club or deliver a session please let us know and together we can make it happen.
The Britwell Centre runs a whole programme of activities for the local community to take part in. Activities include holiday activities, coffee mornings, children’s activities, gardening and much more.
Also based at the centre is Amana's Journey Café, which is run by volunteers, providing training opportunities for disadvantaged and unemployed residents. The money raised by the café goes towards supporting various community projects.
