Equality, Diversity and Inclusion peer review and report
As part of our improvement journey, we invited the Local Government Association (LGA) to visit us in September 2024 and report on the council's commitment, planning and actions relating to equalities, diversity and inclusion in the organisation and the town.
The LGA led the independent peer review and looked at our strengths and weaknesses in the areas of:
- customer care
- our own workforce, and
- our delivery against equalities objectives.
The LGA appointed senior officers and elected members to complete the review. The findings can be fed into our approach for the future ways of working for the council and its services. You can find the details of the review in our:
