Other areas covered
The Safer Slough Partnership has a range of wider responsibilities that link to matters of community safety, safeguarding and exploitation. Some of these include the following areas.
Counter Terrorism – Prevent and reducing the risk of radicalisation.
A multi-agency subgroup ensures that Slough has a comprehensive response to the risk of radicalisation locally, that links to the national agenda.
Modern Slavery
SSP oversees the partnership response to modern slavery, ensuring that partners are working together to identify potential victims and getting them the support, they need.
Domestic Homicide Reviews
The SSP is responsible for the commissioning of DHRs that is a statutory responsibility to undertake when there is a local homicide or suicide where it can be shown there is a history of domestic abuse.
Water Safety Partnership
This sub-group, led by RBFRS, leads an annual campaign to prevent water deaths in Slough, particularly in the Jubilee River.
