Asset management provides a comprehensive range of strategic property advice to the council on its operational and investment portfolio.
This advice combines the following services:
- project management of the council’s regeneration projects in the Heart of Slough, Britwell project and Chalvey project
- our local asset backed vehicle and regeneration joint venture agreements
- valuation
- property management
- acquisitions
- disposals, sales and leasing
- project management.
We own a portfolio of buildings and land throughout Slough and over time some of them become surplus to requirements or vacant and available for letting.
The properties we market range from industrial units and commercial properties to houses, garages, small parcels of land. Some may offer redevelopment opportunities. These assets are usually sold or let on the open market by tender or auction to allow all interested parties the opportunity to submit offers; this process lets the council to generate capital receipts under its approved policies to obtain 'best value'.
Our Asset Management Plan (AMP) supports our approach to property assets. It is integral to our service delivery, regeneration projects and community initiatives.
