Access bar markings (white lines)
If you have an approved vehicular crossing (dropped kerb) and are having problems with obstruction of your access, you can apply to have an access bar marking (white lines) on the highway to help keep this clear.
These markings are advisory only and therefore no enforcement action can be taken by Slough Borough Council against vehicles parked on these lines. The Police may be able to assist in some circumstances so you can call 101 for further advice on this.
The cost of an Access Bar Marking is:
- new application for a new location, access bar marking only - £100
- refresh an existing marking - £80.
- access bar marking with vehicular crossing construction (dropped kerb, upon request) if done at same time - £80
How to apply
If you have any problems completing the form please email parking@slough.gov.uk
How long will it take?
Once we have assessed the application, we will email you our decision.
The assessment of an application can take up to 4 weeks.
It can take up to a further 8 weeks from approval for the implementation of the marking. Please note, sometimes it can take longer as work of this nature is dependent on weather conditions and our contractors workload.
How to make a payment?
Once your application has been approved an invoice can be raised upon request or you can pay by cheque. If you change your mind there will be a £20 cancellation fee for administration.
