The students of Wexham Court Primary School moved into their new building earlier this month and have been enjoying their new classrooms ever since.
The new building has not officially been named but is affectionally become known as The Green House. The work at Wexham Court Primary School is part of the council’s Modernisation Programme.
Navroop Mehat, headteacher at Wexham Court Primary School, said: “The two new classrooms will be used for music and performing arts. Our children enjoy learning instruments, singing, and engaging in drama. This will provide them with a base where their talent can grow and shine. We are very excited about this; the new facilities will be used by all 700 pupils.”
Councillor Puja Bedi, lead member for education and children’s services, said: “This new building really makes the children feel invested in and opens up a new learning space for the pupils to showcase their musical and performing arts skills. Thank you to everyone involved in moving the project forward and for their hard work in completing the build in three months. Thank you to everyone in the school for their involvement and it’s great to hear how much the children are enjoying the facilities already.”
The expansion project was undertaken by Slough Borough Council and Warnick installed the units.
