Slough Remembrance Service

The Mayor, Councillor Balwinder Dhillon will be leading the annual Act of Remembrance on Sunday 10 November.

This will commence in the Town Square and conclude at the War Memorial at St. Mary’s Church, Church Street, Slough.

The timetable for the morning is:

  • 10.40am - Assemble in the Town Square, High Street, Slough
  • 10.45am - Inspection of Cadets followed by prayers
  • 11am - The Act of Remembrance – Two minute silence
  • 11.05am - Process to St Mary’s Church, Church Street, Slough
  • 11.15am - Procession arrives at St Mary’s Church
  • 11.25am - Civic Service of Remembrance commences
  • 12noon - Wreath Laying Ceremony commences (approx)

In the event of inclement weather (pouring rain), there will be no activities in the Town Square and the Service will commence at 10.50am at St Mary’s Church. Attendees should be seated by 10.45am at the latest. The Wreath Laying Ceremony at the War Memorial will take place whatever the weather conditions.
