A community fun day, with an important anti-knife crime message was a great success.
The #Fazamnesty community fun day was held on 29 August at Langley Pavilion and was supported by Slough Youth Justice Service, Slough Children First, the council and the Safer Slough Partnership.
Faron Paul from Fazamnesty and his team of 10 volunteers were there, along with other organisations and charities including Grassrootz (youth organisation), CAV (Communities Against Violence), Boothbuss (mobile recording studio), Love Music Hate Violence and Bullyz Caribbean who supplied the food on the day. Slough Children First Youth Justice Service enabled 40 young people to get a hot meal for free.
There was a free raffle for young people, a bouncy castle, chopper bikes and rock climbing.
Live music from Love Music Hate Violence entertained the crowd, and there were knife crime awareness talks throughout the day to parents and youths.
Thames Valley Police attended and were fully involved in activities, with the day enjoyed by more than 100 members of the community.
Thank you to everyone who got involved and came along.
