Around midnight (Weds night / Thurs morning) a major incident was declared in Slough following a fire at the Mosaic Apartments, 26 High St, Slough, just west of the Brunel Junction in the town centre.

The fire is now out with crews dampening down.

Emergency services remain on scene, with an ongoing Fire & Rescue and Police presence as we work together to make the building safe and investigate the cause of the fire.

No casualties have been reported.

Residents who were evacuated were cared for overnight, by Slough Borough Council at their headquarters nearby and at The Moxy and Hilton T5 hotels. We are very grateful for their assistance at a time of great upset for the residents of the blocks involved.

Any resident of the block who needs the management company's help should call PBM Property on 0208 2361270, after 5.30pm this switches to an out-of-hours number so residents can get through and can speak to the call centre staff, or they can email: alex@pbm-property.com and explain you are from the Mosaic Apartments.

Please also advise the management company if you have any pets left in your property like fish or birds, as there is no electricity to parts of the building.

Please also contact your own home insurance company and explain what has happened so they can advise you of their procedure.

Some road and lane closures remain in place in the area and congestion is expected; people are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
