If you, or someone you know, can’t get to the library owing to age, disability or caring responsibilities, it is still possible to enjoy using Slough Libraries.
Our e-Reading collection of digital books, audiobooks and magazines is available via your device.
We also offer a free Library at Home service. Our friendly team of staff and volunteers are DBS checked, and will choose books from the library and bring them to you. Regular print, large print or talking books on CD are available. To apply for this service you can do one of the following:
- complete the library at home service application form
- call your local library
- contact Alison Beer, Principal Libraries Outreach Officer 01753 875533
We will contact you to find out your reading preferences and arrange a convenient time for the deliveries.
Reading Friends
If you like to discuss your reading with others, our Reading Friends programme is a befriending scheme that connects people through fun and informal sessions of reading together and chatting about what we have read. This can be offered via online sessions. Equipment and support can be provided where needed. Contact library@slough.gov.uk to find out more.
