Waste Transfer Station guidance for residents

Household waste should be taken to the Chalvey Household Waste Recycling Centre. If our staff have questions about the origin of the waste you have brought, our site operative may ask you to take the waste to our Waste Transfer Station.

Residents asked to visit the Waste Transfer Station should report to the weighbridge office, located by the first gate, on the same site, at the Chalvey depot. There, your vehicle will be inspected to make sure only household waste is being thrown away or recycled. As part of this inspection, you may be asked for proof of address (such as a recent utility bill) and photo ID (driver's licence or passport).

Disposal of domestic waste at the Waste Transfer Station is free of charge for Slough residents. There is a charge for people who do not live in Slough.
