180 litre grey bins for general waste

180L and 240l grey wheelie bins

  • The standard bin issued to residents for general waste are 180 litre grey bins.
  • The cost of a new 180 litre grey bin is £40.

240 litre grey bins for general waste

  • If you are a living with a family of six or more people at the same property, you can request a larger 240 litre bin.
  • When you submit a form request for a 240 litre grey bin, you will need to upload proof of the number of occupants living at the address such as; recent bank statements, bills, child benefit letters for each individual. 
  • The cost of a 240 litre grey bin is £48.

Red bins for recycling waste

  • The standard bin issued to residents for recycling are 240 litre red bins.
  • We will collect up to two red bins from one property on your recycling collection day. 
  • The cost of a 240 litre red bin is £48.

Communal bins

  • For domestic properties with communal bins, the Housing association, managing agent or landlord needs to email EnvServEnquiries@slough.gov.uk. Please note there is a cost to replace the four wheeled refuse or recycling communal bins:
    • £397 each for an 1100 litre or
    • £357 each for a 770 litre.
  • Organisations and businesses who need waste collections can contact us at Tradewaste@slough.gov.uk.
