Slough's CCTV control centre
The monitoring of Slough CCTV is managed by Thames Valley Police and has been relocated to Milton Keynes. The Milton Keynes Command Suite is monitoring cameras in both areas and has been equipped with the latest CCTV technology to enable Thames Valley Police to secure the best quality evidence possible. Integration with existing police systems will help support investigations, enabling officers to access footage remotely and share it across the force area much more easily.
CCTV systems are installed in areas of the borough where there are crime and disorder and community safety priorities. The CCTV team operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This includes operating more than 400 fixed site cameras and multiple wireless CCTV camera systems which can be relocated in response to changing priorities. The CCTV operators also manage the Slough Town Against Crime (STAC) retail and Pub Watch radio systems.
