Waste Transfer Station guidance for commercial or trade use
Commercial or trade waste operators are not able to access the Chalvey Household Waste Recycling Centre, which located at the top of the Chalvey depot site and accessed via the second gate, as this is where residents take their household waste for disposal.
Commercial waste is allowed to be disposed of at the Chalvey depot, but this is done via the transfer station (weighbridge) which is located at the bottom of the Chalvey depot site and accessed via the first gate.
Opening hours for commercial access
Last entry is 15 minutes before we close.
- Monday to Friday: 7am - 4pm.
- Saturday: 7.30am - 12pm.
- Closed on Sunday and bank holidays.
Traders will need to show copies of their ‘Waste Carriers Licence’ at the time of tipping. Businesses have a legal duty of care to dispose of their waste properly and must pay commercial rates. It is illegal to deposit trade waste at the Chalvey Household Waste Recycling Centre.
We accept both general waste and garden waste for composting.
- General waste is calculated at £246 per tonne including VAT, with a minimum charge of £44.28 including VAT.
- Compostable garden waste is calculated at £107.47 per tonne including VAT, with a minimum charge of £20.74 including VAT.
