Our previous work
Slough Borough Council has a track record of involving residents that use services. This is to ensure these services are right for those who are using them.
Since 2002, the council has had a number of partnership boards in place, where people who use services work with us to offer feedback and their expertise as a service user. The partnership boards include:
- learning disabilities
- carers
- autism
- mental health
- older people.
The boards vary in the way they work, but broadly bring together residents who use adult social care services and carers, with partners from local services and voluntary organisations.
Additionally we are working with our partnership boards and members of the community to find out how we can create a stronger, more inclusive network so more can be involved, beyond attending formal board meetings. We are hoping our co-production group will help to bring more of us together.
