A music and dance extravaganza will be held in Slough town centre to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Thames Valley Police and Slough Borough Council, in partnership with local businesses, will host the event on Saturday 2 June, from 1-5pm in Slough Town Square.
Residents are invited to come along to the ‘Press for Progress’ event and enjoy the free music and dance entertainment on offer.
Garry Tallett, the council’s community safety partnership manager, said: “The Safer Slough Partnership is pleased to be supporting this event and helping to showcase some of the great talent Slough has to offer. This is an opportunity for communities to celebrate cultural difference in the heart of our town, and I encourage residents to join us and the artists at this ‘Press for Progress’ event.”
DCI Nikki Pierce, who also hosted an International Women’s Day conference in March, said: “We would love the communities to come and join us in the town centre on 2 June for our music and dance extravaganza. You really are in for a treat from some of the most talented and diverse artists across our town.
“It’s a fabulous opportunity to enjoy the artists, whilst having fun and laughter with your loved ones.”
