You will have an interest in local government, an eye for detail and ideally some experience of committee administration and/or servicing appeal hearings. You will also be able to work on your own initiative and operate effectively coping with competing priorities. The salary will reflect experience and person specification. Trainee Democratic Services Officer, Level 5, SCP 23 to 29, £22,601 to £27,738 per annum, or Democratic Services Officer, Level 6 SCP 30 to 35, £28,266 to £32,309, inclusive of local weighting allowance.
The career grade structure allows progression from the Trainee grade to Democratic Services Officer grade if the required performance standards can be demonstrated. Please consider the personal specification and specify which level you are applying for.
