Youth Worker – Targeted Support and Early Help (Ref: 05-3361)

Slough Young People’s Service is vibrant, busy and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people across Slough.

The post holder will provide significant 1-1 and group work support to young people who have been referred to the service by a range of agencies including social care, schools and the police. The post holder will often act as a lead professional in working with the young person and where appropriate their families to analyse need and implement holistic and sustainable solutions that enable the young person to make a successful transition in to adulthood.

In this challenging opportunity you will have proven experience of engaging young people from different backgrounds with particular emphasis on the more vulnerable. A successful track record of positively supporting young people and being able to identify the impact of your intervention. You will be required to work evenings and at weekends on a rota basis.

Staff will be offered opportunities to further develop their skills and undertake training as required for their role.
