Help to access essential council services is available to those who do not speak English, and would struggle to get the right support without assistance. We have access to a wide range of non-English language interpretation, both face to face and written.
We can also provide qualified British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters to service users who are deaf and we actively use appropriate technology to further assist service users with a disability.
If a customer is struggling to access a council service, please get an English speaker to call the council to discuss their requirements.
All web pages on this website can be translated through Google Translate - you should find this feature at the bottom of each page of this site. Google Translate is free to use.
If you know someone who will benefit with the above then please discuss this with them and if relevant inform them of the Google Translate option. Or if they are happy for you to do so then contact our customer service team, on the number above, on their behalf to discuss their interpretation or translation needs.
