British Sign Language (BSL)

We have partnered with BSL Online Interpreting Service, SignLive.

If you are a BSL user, you can use SignLive to connect to an online professional BSL interpreter, tell them you are calling Slough Borough Council and you can do this from your own device.

You only need to register with SignLive once and you will be able to connect quickly via SignLive’s Community Directory, clearly highlighted with our logo.

This is a FREE service which is available Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.

How to access SignLive

The first time you use SignLive you will need to register as a one-off. This will give you good video quality and also means your calls are secure. Simply access SignLive on your desktop without having to download software or plug-ins. Alternatively, download the SignLive app from the App store or Google Play. Visit the SignLive website for more information.

BSL access at My Council, Landmark Place

You can also use SignLive at My Council Landmark Place, which will connect you to an online professional BSL video interpreter who will talk to the person you would like to contact and sign their responses to you. Please contact a member of staff at one of the enquiry desks and they will help you with this. This is a free service which is available Monday to Friday during normal opening hours.
