The following notice has been issued by the Food Standards Agency:

Spar is recalling its Blueberry Muffins (four-pack) because they may contain pieces of plastic. The presence of plastic could present a choking hazard, makes this product unsafe to eat and presents a safety risk.

No other Spar products are known to be affected.

The presence of plastic presents a choking and a safety risk.

Action taken by the company
Spar is recalling the above product. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

Our advice to consumers
If you have bought any of the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
